Alba Critical Care Course Design is a Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation (Alba CCCD SCIO) SC043790. Members develop courses in surgical critical care and related topics, and help to teach and establish these in low income countries, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. We teach senior surgeons, surgical trainees, non-physician surgeons & anaesthetists and nurses to look after critically ill patients in a structured way, irrespective of their working environment. AlbaCCCD works to make the WHA resolution 68/31 (2015) a reality: “To include strengthening emergency and essential surgical care and anaesthesia as a component of universal health coverage”. We base our work on the philosophy that the physiological support of critically ill surgical patients makes a difference to patients’ lives and is an indispensable component of essential and emergency surgery in any environment.
AlbaCCCD is also registered as a publisher in the UK and publishes its own handbooks

The book looks great! Just downloaded it. I’m working clinically, in research and in capacity building in Critical Care in low resource settings and the book looks like it could be very useful. Is it possible to get some paper copies?

I only had 50 paper copies printed because it worked out at almost £40 per copy. Even if we print few 100 the price won’t change much. I can supply at £40 plus postage or you can simply print your own.
